Field Experiences provide hands-on, standards-based inquiry learning opportunities for your students at our beautiful 65-acre outdoor classroom!
Schools in Greeley-Evans District 6 can attend Field Experiences free of charge.
Charter schools and non-member district schools can schedule Field Experiences for the price of $25/student for K-12.
Scholarships to cover admission or transportation are readily available!
Higher education - contact us for pricing.
In-School Experiences are a great way to extend your student's learning, without leaving the school grounds! We bring nature to you, and engage your students in hands-on activities such as animal adaptations, fossils, the rock cycle, StarLab planetarium, and more!
Members receive these programs at no cost.
Non-members, contact us for pricing.
Do you want to use the trails at the PLC to lead your Field Trip? A self-led program is for you! This is a great option for homeschools, Scout Troops, and more!
There is no cost for a self-led program. The buildings may or may not open, depending on the request. If you are a group of 12+ people, please submit a form request below so we can ensure there are no conflicts with your program.
- Schools in our member districts (Greeley-Evans District 6) can participate FREE of charge.
- Charter schools and non-member district schools can schedule Field Experiences for the price of $25/student for K-12 and can inquire about the pricing of in-school programs.

Please contact our Curriculum Specialist, Sami Wolniakowski, at swolniakowski@greeleyschools.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Each Field Experience or School Experience fits the needs of the school, classroom, and students, and specific programming requests are handled by the Curriculum Specialist, Sami Wolniakowski. Each program is based on the Colorado standards, and is place-based! We use our outdoor, natural space as the phenomenon we study. Students engage in earth and life science topics such as erosion, water quality, animal adaptations, habitats, and more! We also offer less academic topics, such as survival skills and team building.
Students should bring/wear weather-appropriate clothing, extra layers (it gets windy!), sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), a journal & pencil, a water bottle, lunch, and a backpack.
The buildings, staff, materials, and land stewardship are funded by our school districts that pay for a membership plan. This membership allows for all students in that district to come to the PLC free of charge, and other benefits for the district such as free Professional Development and space rentals.
Non-member districts are still welcome to the PLC, but there is a fee involved to help cover the resources used during a program. If you are interested in becoming a member district, contact Greg Cocking at gcocking@greeleyschools.org
